Petition for Sale of land for Partition Decree
This Cause coming on to be heard upon final Report of E.P. Casey Commissioner duly appt. by this court to sell the lands described in the Petition for Partition among the heirs at law of George Coon Decā?Td filed March 19th, 1883 by which it appears that he exposed to Public Sale at the Court Housedoor in Mosckville on the 19th day of March 1883 it being Mondaay of the Superior Court of the said County the land described in the petition to the highest bidder when & where John Anderson became purchaser at the price of twelve hundred eighty five dollars secured by Note & approved Security Payable 6 months from date with interest from date--And the said Commissioner reporting thatthe said lands brought a fair & reasonable price and the parties having been duly notified & exceptive having been filed thereto. It is now on Motion of T.B.Bailey counsel for plaintiffs ordered adjudjed & decreed that the said report be in allrespects confirmed and that upon the payment of the purchase money & every part thereof & interest the said comissioner shall execute to the said Purchaser of the deed in fee simple for the said lands & pay over to the parties entitled to the same, the amount of the purchase money & interest accrued afterfirst paying the cost of this proceeding including the allowance to the commissioner & it further ordered and adjudged that the commissioner E.P. Casey be allowed 7.00commission for selling said land.

By Virtue of an order this day made in the above entitled case by A.T. Grant, clerk of the Superior Court of Davie County, Will sell at theCourt house door in Mocksville on Monday the 19thday of March 1883,thefollowing lands to wit: A tract lying & being in Davie County about 5miles NorthWest of Mocksville, on the Waters of Bear Creek , adjoiningthe lands ofJames Kurfees, J.F. Coon, Thomas Glascock & otherscontaining230 Acres more or less. this land is well watered & timberedand containing about 40 acres of excellent bottom land. It is sold forpartition among the heirsat law of GeorgeCoon deceased. The terms of thesale, six months credit, bond & approved security title reserved untilthe purchase money is paid.
