lates to this marriage. James H. Ware has a copy.

This shall be your sufficient warrant to Issue a License to Marry my
daughter Sally Ware to John Smith. Given under my hand this 2nd Day
of Dec 1785

Know all men by these presents that we John Smith and John Taliaferro
are held and firmly Bound unto Patk Henry, Governor of the
Commonwealth of Virginia in the sum of fifty pounds current money to
be paid to the said Henry & his successors which payment will & Truly
be made. We Bind ourselves Jointly & severlly firmly by these
presence sealed with our seal & dated this fifth day of Dec 1785.
THE CONDITION of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a
marriage shartly intended to be solimasised between the above Bound
John Smith, Bachelor & Sally Ware, spinister. If there be no Lawfull
Cause to Obstruct the said marriage then the above obligation to be
Void and of None Effect Else to remain in full force & Virtue }
