He is listed in Vol. 33, page 396-7 of the Tioga Co., NY Deed Book, July 1834 with his wife Dorcas, where they sold land bordering that of Isaac and Ephraim Bonham. The deed was an indenture made on the 5th of July 1834 between Zedikiah Bonham and Dorcus his wife of the town of Tioga and County of Tioga and state of New York of the first part and Samuel Clark of the same place of the second part for and in consideration of the sum of $40 to the party of the second part and his wife Abigail forever all that certain log of land situated in the village of Smighboro and in the town and county of Tioga and state of New York and bounded as follows begining at the northeast corner of Isaac & Ephraim Bonham's lot and running from thence 27 degrees west along the said I & E Bonham's lot two chains to a stake and sones from thence 63 degrees E next two and a half link to a stake and stones _____ N 27 degree E two chains to the S bounds of the E & W road thence N 63 degrees W ____ two and a half links to the place of beginning containing one eighth of an acre.......there was much more, but difficult to decipher. The deed was signed by the seals of Zedekiah Bonham and Dorcas Bonham. On 28 Sept 1835, Dorcas and Zedikiah Bonham came before the Clerk of the county, David Wallis, with Isaac Boardman, who swore he knew both parties and that he talked privately with Dorcas and she willfully, without compulsion from her husband, sign this deed.

On page 305r, Jackson Co., Tompkins Twp., dated 9/6/1850, Zedekiah is listed with his sister Harriet. His name is spelled BONNUM, listed as 46 years old, a farmer, property $400, born in PA. Several BATES children are listed here also: William, 15 years b. NY; Perrin 12 years b. MI; Charles 9 years b. MI; Lester 7 years b. MI; Francilla 5 years b. MI.
