There is one Benjamin Powell on the Tax List of Henry Co., TN for 1836, unknown if same man: Benjamin POWELL, Civil Dist. 2, 150ac of land, no slaves. There is an Allanson Powell in Civil Dist. 6 with 150ac. of land.
Benjamin (Dempsey's brother) is said to have practiced medicine in Arkansas. Max D. Henderson sent the DOB as 1810 and the DOD. He descends from Benjamin's child, William Dempsey Powell.
