Notes
Individual:
Thomas was a Deacon for the Presbyterian church, an office he held for 50 years. The unpublished COCHRAN manuscript compiled by Emma and Mary Cochran says he married Margaret Ramsey, the daughter of Hugh Ramsey, a Scotch sea captain.
Biographical Review, page 245 says James became a prominent farmer and a leading man, owned around 300 to 400 acreas of land at his death. He was a Whig.
Thomas and his brothers Nathaniel and Peter are listed on the 1790 census of Hillsborough Co., NH.
