Notes

Ephriam was very religious. He was very strict about the behavior of his family. Had an Irish Brogue up till the day of his death.
The family lived in the Hilham area of Overton County,Tennessee and were farmers. All the children were born in Overton County. E.O. was a tenant farmer on the MOSES MILLER PLANTATION.
In 1906 the family moved to Oklahoma. Staying with one of Rachel's brother's in Guymon,Ok. until they bought a homestead in Cimmaron County in the Panhandle of the State, between Willow Bar (now known as Keyes) and Boise City. This is known as Indian Land. They lived in a dugout and they farmed and with his older sons worked the wheat harvest from Texas up into Canada for cash money.
When the homestead was proved up,he sold it and moved the family to Altus,Ok., close to another of Rachel's brother's and bought another farm. He later sold that farm and moved to Frederick,Oklahoma, where they remained till 1920,when they moved to Avon Park , Florida. There he worked as a carpenter and manager of a citrus nurdery. He bought a cottage and enlarged it and planted his own citrus grove. He raised chicken's and a small garden.
