Niangua News: Jess Reese ,Herbert Vestal, Harold Vestal, and Tom Alexander went on a two-day fishing trip to North Fork Thursday and Friday of last week. They brought back 24 bass weighing 1 1/2 to 5 pounds.

Obituary
Jesse Hubert Reese, son of James F. and Adeline Reese, was born Jan. 6,1889, and departed this life January 24,1969, at the age of 80 years and 18 days. He was united in marriage to Elva Dodson Jan. 5,1913. To this union were born one son and five daughters.
Jesse accepted Christ when a young man and united with the Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church where he was a deacon for many years. He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Everett of Kansas City, Mo.; five daughters, Willie Muse, El Cajon, Calif., Ruby Vestal, Niangua, Mo., Letha Lowery, Marshfield, Mo., Verna Alexander, Joplin, Mo., Bonnie Schulz, Springfield, Mo., one brother, Lon Reese, Rieth, Oregon; one sister, Letha Gardner, Napa, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 26, in the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Selph Jones officiating. Music was by Margaret Wantland, Opal Hyde and Selph Jones with Mrs. Selph Jones at the piano.
Escorts were Larry Vestal, Ronald Lowert, Dean Alexander, Rickie Reese, Darrell Alexander.
Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery under direction of Barber-Edwards, Marshfield.

Funeral services for Jesse Hubert Reese, 80, a lifelong resident of Star Route, Niangua, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Selph Jones officiating. Burial was in Prospect Cemetery east of Niangua under direction of Barber-Edwards of Marshfield.
Escorts were Larry Vestal, Ronald Lowery, Dean Alexander, Rickie Reese, Tommy Mathis, Bob Atkison and Darrell Alexander.
Music was by Margaret Wantland and Opal Hyde and a solo by Selph Jones with Mrs. Selph Jones at the piano.
Mr. Reese died at 11:30 a.m. Friday in Springfield Baptist Hospital after a three-month illness.
Surviving are a son, Everett, Kansas City, and five daughters, Mrs. Willie Muse, El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Ruby Vestal, Route 1, Niangua, Mrs. Letha Lowery, Route 1, Marshfield, Mrs. Veran Alexander, Joplin, and Mrs. Bonnie Schulz, of Springfield.
Other survivors include a brother, Lon, Rieth, Ore., a sister, Mrs. Letha Gardner, Napa, Calif., 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
