From Death Certificate [Provincial Archives of New Brunswick]: Georgia James died in the hospital in St. Stephen, Charlotte Co., NB, at 6 p.m. 13 Feb 1930 of encephalitis contracted 3 weeks earlier.

Died - St. Stephen, Feb. 13th, Georgia A. James, aged 44 years, 6 months and 17 days. Interment at Princeton.

Mrs. Georgia A. James
The death of Mrs. Merton James (Miss Georgia A. Dodge) of Princeton occurred at the Chipman Hospital, St. Stephen, on February 13th, after an illness of several weeks, which was attributed to a nervous breakdown. She was a valuable person in the community, as well as in her home, always ready and willing to help all, and was long an active member in the Advent Church. She was a wonderful singer and helped in the singing as well as in many other ways in the church. This church was closed some time ago, and although not a member of the Congregational Church, she has been associated with it since the closing of the Advent. She was a true christian woman, a kind neighbor and loving friend.
She leaves to mourn their loss her husband, Mr. Merton James and a family of eight children and several grandchildren: Mrs. Morey Hunnewell of Alexander; Mr. Raymond James, who is married and resides in Princeton; Miss Pansy James, who attends a commercial college in Bangor; Mr. Victor James, Miss Katherine James, Miss Florence James, and two small children, Virgil, aged nine, and Gloria, six, who all reside at home. She also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Willis E. Dodge of Great Neck, N.Y., a father-in-law, Mr. James McCannell, and an aunt, Mrs. Effie Morrison, all of Princeton.
Deceased was a daughter of the late Raymond Dodge. Her mother, Mrs. Nettie Dodge, was later united in marriage with James McCannell. She passed away several years ago.

Never more will you awake until Jesus calls you from the deep.

Princeton was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Merton James, which occurred at Chipman Hospital February 13th. She had been in poor health for some time, but her passing was a shock to all. She was a member and worker in the Advent Church until the closing of the church some time ago, and was kindly neighbor and loyal friend. She is survived by her husband, three sons and five daughters, two of these being children of six and nine years of age, to mourn their loss.
