Individual:
Peter Vore was probably born in York Co, Pa, about 1765. According to the
Warrington MM, he married Elizabeth Hutton, called Bety. Children:Joseph;Benjamin, b June 5, 1785; Abner, b Apr 27, 1787; Sarah, b August 14,1789, m David Faires, 1815 in Guernsey Co, Oh; Peter, b Sept 14 1791,Gideon, m Ratchel Smith, 1820 in Guernsey Co; Elinor, b February 8 1808,m Henry Faires, 1826 in Guernsey Co, Thomas, 1800 -1880, m Ann Croy,1821. Both are buried in Wrightstown Cem, Homer Twp, Morgan Co.
Peter Vore first appears in in Guernsey Co, Oh on the 1820 Census in Senica Twp. He is on a juror list in 1816. John FAires is on the samelist. He is on the 1820 census, Beaver Twp, Guernsey Co. By 1830, thefamily had moved to Homer Twp, Morgan/Athens Co. Peter, Thomas and Gedeonare all on the 1830 census. In 1850, Peter, age 80, is living with PwterVore, age 36, in Homer Twp, Morgan Co (grandson ?).
There is no further documentation of wife, Elizabeth.
There are discrepencies in this account of Peter Vore. But the
parallel movments of the John Faires and Peter Vore familiies leaves little doubt that this Peter Vore is the father of Elinor Vore Faires.
John and Peter both went to Beaver/Senica Twp, Guernsey Co, Oh at about the same time. Two Vore children married two Faires children. Bothfamilies moved south to the Homer Twp, Morgan/Athens Co area at about thesame time, and bothe have children or grandchildren buried at WrightstownCem, Homer Two, Morgan Co.
