Individual:
[Buckles Family Tree 09-18-03.FTW]

Research conducted by Sarah Alexander and entered by her grandson Jason.Pearce.net.

She and her six children moved into their parent's house in 1914 when her Husband Ollie died. She remained there until her older brother, Elbert Plummer, who lived in Rockingham County, made financial arrangements for Cora to buy a large rambling house in the little community of Buies Creek in Harnett County.

Buies Creek Academy, later Campbell University, was located at Buies Creek and directly across the road from her new home. Cora turned the large old house into a rooming and boarding house for students and took in sewing.

She managed to raise and educate all six children to include college degrees. Over the years, her home became a campus landmark. It is now owned by Campbell University and is affectionately referred to by faculty and students as "Hight House."
