Baptised in Dec 1754 Trinity Lutheran Church, Stone Arabia N.Y. sponso red by baptism sponsors: Conrad and Englige Haus Captured at age 7 by the indians during the revolutionary war and remo ved to Montreal and held until end of the war. Uncle Philip Empie was with Conrad when he was captured by indians. Ph ilip loosened his bonds enough to get his jackknife and free himself d uring the 1st night but Conrad was sleeping too soundly to free.
Following 2 items from Tuttle's Pioneers of Madison County 1) Conrad owned Lot #13 Oneida Reservation on Sept. 5, 1799 2) Was on Lenox Jury list 1808 and 1810 has 11 in family
On 1820 Census they were living in Madison County, N.Y. On 1830 Census Family was living in Vernon, Oneida County, N.Y. In 1833 Deeds have Conrad Jr. and family living in Chautauqua County, N.Y. 1st Showed up in the 1835 census. Migrated to Michigan where he showed up on the census and tax rolls i n 1840 Lived and died in Livingston County Michigan, Surrounded by all of hi s children except John Conrad who stayed in Chautauqua County, N.Y.
Conrad and Nancy owned over 800 acres of land in Tyrone township in Li vingston County, with ANOTHER man. The land is in section 1, 11, and 1 2, which come together at the corner like this
