Her death was reported to the civil records office in Isnello, Italy on 7 January 1898.  She had died at 3:15 a.m. the previous day in her home on Via Fonte. She was indicated to be 78 years old, a peasant farmer who was born in Polizzi Generosa yet resided in Isnello at the time of her death.  Her father was the deceased Antonino, also a peasant farmer who had resided in Polizzi Generosa when he was living.  Her mother was Giovanna Randazzo [this last name is slightly wrong as we see in her birth and marriage records], a peasant farmer who resided in Polizzi Generosa also when she was living.  She was the wife of the living Mariano Esposito.

Her death was reported by Mattea Leggio, age 35 and a housewife as well as Serafina Iacuzie?, age 48 and a housewife.  It is possilbe that these women were neighbors as no relationship to the deceased is indicated.

I have searched the films for Polizzi Generosa from 1862-1873 and I cannot find any subsequent children born to this couple.

Film #2013436 (January 2005)

Checked this film for the death records for Mariano and Maria.  They were alive when their son married in 1877 so I check the film from 1877 to 1895.  Neither was there.  I have ordered the film with the death records from 1895-1910.  I didn't find any Catanese's but there were many Alberti's.  I need to go back and check this film for a Mariano Projetto.

February 2006 I checked Film #1965126 (Isnello) for the deaths of Mariano and Maria.  They were not found.  This film covers 1862-1910.  When reviewing Film #1965165 (Isnello) for something else I came across some mortes so I checked them too but did not find them.

I also checked Film #1965165 (Isnello) which covered the years of 1862-1870 for other children of this couple but did not find any.  Note to self: Check allegati's for both towns.
