1926--Graduated from Lincoln High Scool. Lettered in baseball. 1932--Graduated from U. of Nebraska, B.A. degree. Played on baseball team. Lettered in basketball, 1930-31. Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. --Married Helen in Scottsbluff, NE, 8 Oct 1932. --Coached and taught high school in Hampton, NE. 1933--Worked at Davey Grain Co, Woodlawn, NE. 1934-6-Managed lumber yard and hardware store, Waverly, NE. 1937-43-Employed by Woodman Accident & Life Insurance Co. in Lincoln, NE 1943--U.S. Navy Indoctrination School, Tuscon, AZ. 1944--Naval Advanced Small Craft Training School, Long Island, NY. --Taught Seamanship and Navigation in Navy Midshipman School, Ft.
