A plantation owner and purchasing agent for the Confederacy. Received a
pardon after the war signed by Pres. Andrew Johnson, which now belongs toNick Taylor in honor of his father Kennon Taylor, who was named CharlesHenry Kennon Taylor after his great-grandfather.
Some records show birth/death as 1816-1901, but headstone at Springhill Cemetary in Huntington, WV says 1817-1902.
