Will Co. Ill. In. around 1830. He, and family are found in a census of Montgomery Co.Missouri in 1840. In 1843, Lewis, and his wife, Jane, and their children crossed the country on the Emegrant Trail to Oregon, in 1843. Lewis was a teamster, and raised horses, some rare breeds.
