While in Tulsa, Oklahoma last week on a business trip, I stopped in at the local library Gele alogy Room (very nice!) and found Dryden, Land Records of Somerset County, Maryland. The following parcels owned by Robert Bruce Polk are in this book, and their precise boundaries are shown an old map:
"Ballyhack" (at mouth of Dames Quarter Creek into Wicomico River)
patented 8 Nov. 1700 by RBP, sold in 1748 by Joseph Pollock
"Forlorn Hope" (at head of Dames Quarter Creek) 1702 willed by RBP to sons David and R obert, possessed after RBP's death by Magdalen
"Polks Folly" patented 7 March 1687 by RPB, 1702 willed to son David, possessed after RB P's death by Magdalen
"Polks Lott" patented 7 March 1687 by RBP, possessed after RBP's death by Magdalen
