Individual:
Rebecca married the nephew of her sisters husband Peter Elder.
Rebecca along with her sister Letha were deeded 160 acres of land on Bu ck Creek, Spartanburg County, SC. This is the same land that Letha and her husband Peter Elder years later sold to James Cantrell, their share being 80 acres. In 1856 Smith Elder deeded over 5 acres of the land for a house of worship to Buck Creek Baptist Church, according to Mary Garrison report in the Bostick Newsletter Online.
