Another source places the birth of Jean Doiron at
Deaux-Sevre, France
1649. There is also conflicting evidence regarding the wedding of Jean
and Marie Anne Canol either at Fort Pantagoute in 1671, or Port Royal 1671.
Since Jean was part of the garrison at fort Pantagoute, (Castine, Maine) in
1671, That is where the wedding probably took place. It is noted that he
arrived aboard the ship L'Orange in 1671.
