Dr. C. C. Hill was described by one of his medical school professors
as, "One of
the best diagnosticians I ever taught. He could have had a career
almost
anywhere, but he chose to return to his native Grapeland. A very
kindly man who
spoke in a low gravelly voice, he and his colleague, Dr. Sam Kennedy,
delivered most of
the babies born in North Houston County. He was loved by everyone.
