Notes
Individual:
From Acadian Descendants, Volume III, by Janet Jehn:

Antoine LeBlanc was born at Port Royal. His father-in-law, Jacques Bourgeois, was master surgeon to the Sieur d'Aulnay who had been sent by the French government to help organize a trading company for Quebec and Acadia after the Treaty of Germain-en-Laye in 1632.

Jacques Bourgeois was also one of the pioneer settlers of Beaubassin, setting up a flour mill there.

Antoine LeBlanc settled at St. Charles des Mines, Grand Pre, where he died. His father's estate was located on the Riviere Dauphin, now Annapolis River, about twenty-two miles north of Port Royal, which is now Annapolis.
