Desire LeBlanc, who was born ca. 1717 at Grand Pre, Acadia, died in Ascension Parish, La. on March 5, 1777. Desire married ca. 1740 to his first cousin, Marie Magdelaine Landry. She was born in Acadia , ca. 1723 and was the daughter of Jean Landry and Claire Le Blanc. Marie Magdelaine Landry, the widow LeBlanc married (SECOND) to Pierre Landry dit Perriot a Jacques.
Desire, Marie Magdelaine, and their children: Isaac, Marie, Jerome, Magdelaine, Elizabeth, Desire, Anne, Ozite, Benjamine, and Anselme were in exile at Oxford, Maryland, in 1763. In the 1768 and 1769 Census Records of St. James Parish, La., Desire and his wife, MarieMagdelaine were listed as settlers, living onthe right bank of the Mississippi River. They were listed as inhabitants in the 1770 Census of Ascension Parish, La.
Ascension Parish, La. Civil records dated November 18, 1777 state that Commandant Louis Judice went to the farm of the deceased Desire LeBlanc to make an inventory of Desire's estate.
