An Attempt to Re-Assemble the Old Settlers in Family Groups states that Benj. LeBlanc, husband of Rosalie Babin, died February 1804. He owned a place, right bank Mississippi River, 8 leagues above Michel Cantrel, (now village of St. James, LA) 5 arpent, house 42' x 15', covered with pickets, bousillier betwen posts, a kitchen, two storehouses, posts in ground, two cabins. (I-235)An Attempt to Re-Assemble the Old Settlers in Family Groups states that Rosalie Babin, daughter of Joseph Babin and Ozite Leblanc, married Benjamin Leblanc of New England, son of Desire Leblanc and Marie Landry, on July 12, 1790.
