Isaac Le Blanc, who was born ca. 1746 died in Ascension Parish, La., on June 21, 1794. Isaac was deported to Maryland during the Acadian exile. He married (FIRST) in Ascension Parish, on February 5, 1768 to Marie Rose Melancon. Marie, who died in Ascension Parish, on December 6, 1781 was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Melancon and Magdeleine Marguerite Le Blanc. Isaac married (SECOND) in Ascension Parish, on May 21, 1782 to Marguerite Babin. She was the daughter of Jean Babin and Ursule Landry of Acadia.
In 1769 Isaac and Marie Rose were settlers, living on the right bank of the Mississippi River in St. James Parish, La. The 1770 and 1777 Census Records of Ascension La Fourche des Chitamaches lists Isaac and Marie Rose as inhabitants.
In 1782 Isaac, a resident of La Fourche des Chitimaches, was the Chief Steward of Ascension Parish Catholic Chuch at Donaldsonville, La. He was also Second Lieutenant of the Militia of the Town of Valenzuela.
The 1769 Census of Acadians in Louisiana states that Isaac LeBlanc (23 yr) lived with his wife Marie Melancon (24 yr) on the Right (West) Bank of the Mississippi River, near St. James Parish or present day Donaldsonville.

Date: May 3, 1782
Isaac Le Blanc has requested that an inventory be made of the community property owned by him and his deceased wife, Marie Rose Melancon. Isaac states that he is the father of the following children from his marriage to Marie Rose Melancon: Joseph, Dernon, Baptiste, Marie, Marguerite, and Francoise.
Inventory of Community Property:
One Negro, named Antoine, ca. 30 years of age of the Diabos Nation.
One Negress named Angelique, ca. 20 years of age of the Cotte Dor Nation.
Their Child, Rosette, ca. 3 years of age.
A farm of 11 arpents, situated on the left bank of the Mississippi River, with a house of 30' x 16', with front and back galleries, planked above and below.
Two other houses on dirt 15' x 10'.
One Negro Cabin.
The total value of the farm was $900.00. The entire inventory with household goods, tools, cattle, horses, and hogs was $2690.00.

Marriage Contract of Isaac Le Blanc and Marie Rose Melancon
Assumption Parish, Louisiana
February 5, 1768
Before Commandant Judice, appears Isaac Le Blanc, the son of Desire Le Blanc and Marie Landri, native of Grand Pre, Province of Acadia, Diocese of Quebec. And also appears Marie Melancon, the daughter of Jean Baptiste Melancon and Magdeleine Le Blanc, a native of Grand Pre, Province of Acadia, Diocese of Quebec.
Appearing for the groom were: Isaac Le Blanc, Simon Le Blanc his brother, and Pierre Arceneaux his friend. Appearing for the bride were: Joseph Meancon, her brother, and inhabitant of La Fourche des Chetismatches and Paules Melancon her brother. Both parties promise to be married in the Catholic Church. Husband and wife promise to pay the debts of each other. Both parties of the contract claim that they own no property. They hope by the Grace of God to acquire property together after their marriage. Because of the good and sincere friendship that they have for each other the future groom gives $250.00 to his future bride. The parents of both parties agree to the marriage contract.
