Melchoir Tabler came from Westphalia, Germany around 1742, he was accompanied by two brother s George and William. He was in Chester Co., PA and Lancaster Co., Berks Co., We have date from Berks Co., PA History.
Melchoir one of the first taxables of Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co, PA; erected between 1752 an d 1754. He bought land in Frederick County, Maryland on Jun 13, 1761. The land called "Georges Discovery" in Chestnut Valley on the Potomac and Tuscororo Creek. Reference Liber G page 25 and R.P. 445 and 446.

!DEATH: Records from "Records of Marriages and Burial in the Moncacy Church in Frederick Coun ty, Maryland and in the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in the City of Frederick, Maryland. 1743-1811" states the following:
"Aug. 10, 1804 buried Melchoir Toebler born the 15th (month not given) 1725, parents unknown . Married 1st in 1747 to Cathar. Dorin and had 6 sons and 7 daughters, of whom 3 daughters died. Married second April 8, 1779 Philippina Spiesss. One half year before his death he was lamed by a stroke and lay paralyzed from then on in his bed, took a fever an died Aug. 9 at 10:30 p.m.; aged 79 years, 6 months, 23 days."
