Text: Solomon appears as a Private on roll of Capt. Abel Walker's company, Col. Benjamin Bellow's
regiment & militia in the state of New Hampshire which regiment went and re-inforced the garrison at
Ticonderoga when beseiged by the enemy in June 1777, discharged July 9, 1777, time in service
4 months, 10 days.

"Solomon Grout settled on Lot 13, range 9 - the Isaac Bailey farm, - and was a road surveyor in 1774 and a Selectman in 1776."
