Text: !John Hause and his brother Simon Hause, served as volunteers in the American Army, during the Revolution until the Battle of White Plains, in which he and his brother Simon, standing si de by side, were shot by the enemy. They received a Soldier's Burial, the place of which is unknown. (Has not been proven) John Hause, who was killed at White Plains, had two childre n, John and Polly. John Hause's Widow, married a Benjamin Butler, and had six children. That part of Orange Co. where he died is now Rockland County, N Y. (This also has not been proven )
