I am trying to find information about the Eacrets in my family file. George Eacret was the son of a full blooded Cherokee Indian. She died in Indiana and was taken back to Arkansas for burial. This information was handed down to me. I have George's mother as Mary Jane Evans b. 1833 in Ohio, d.1865 in Vermillion Co. Ill. Vermillion Co. borders on Indiana. According to family legend handed down, the family lived in Fountain Co. IN. Perhaps she died in a hospital in IL? If anyone has any information about these people please contact me. Thanks, Dona
