Smith family from the Mifflinburg/Hartleton area in Union Co Pennsylvania. The earliest ancestor is Dr. James Smith, who married Catharina Brobst. Lots of descendants stayed in PA, but a small group came on to Iowa. Also included is the ancestry of John Beechler/ Beachler/ Bechler, who married Elizabeth Long. Two children, Susana and George came to Iowa. Another line in the file is Rev. War soldier Thomas Jones, who married Elizabeth Wohnsiedler. Thomas was born in Wales and is buried at Ray's Church in Union Co Pennsylvania. Old and new cousins please contact me with additions or corrections. I will be happy to share.
