77, shows on April 4, 1688, William Colston was granted a certificate for
having imported 36 persons to Virginia, one of them being James Coward.
This importation most likely happened before January 12, 1687, for on
that date, James Coward was a witness on a deed for Mary Coolidge
Coward-Cowart Chronicles by Robert J. Robinson.[Moseley-2.FTW]
