Notes
Individual:

About 1920, Christian and Fannie purchased the Weaver Homestead on Rockvale Road from the estate of his Father-in-law and ninechildren. Christian also farmed the Brubaker family's Willow Streetfarm after his brother became ill and died in 1919. Not one to remainidle, he attended a weekly farmers' market at Lancaster, did stonecrushing, road grading, and custom thrashing for about 30 farmers, inaddition to his ministerial duties.
Although he was known as a serious, if not solemn personality, he was progressive with the emerging technologies of his day. He was oneof the first in the church to have a radio in the house, and beforeelectric lines were strung across the countryside, he installed aDelco wet cell battery system to provide electric lights in his house.
His ordination replaced his father Abraham H. as pastor of the
Strasburg Mennonite Church which had 425 members in 1925.

Marriage:
(Family compilation of 1990 lists date of marriage as Jan 12, 1870)
