This file contains nearly 1,100 individuals of the FENSTRA and McVICAR families and traces many of their branches. These families have been researched by me in behalf of good friends, so this file has been "privatized" to remove personal references from living individuals.

With the consent of the FENSTRA/McVICAR sponsors, the sources and carefully documented footnotes that accompany this file are gladly shared with "cousins" who share an interest in serious genealogical research of these families.

Earliest FENSTRA research begins in Holland circa 1820, and soon thereafter in South Dakota.

Earliest McVICAR research begins in circa 1843 in Scotland, and soon thereafter in Canada and Wisconsin.
