Text: An official document cannot be located as a source for this marriage. It has been posted with slightly varying dates in the LDS search records, and historical records indicate that this marriage occurred at about the year shown. As both parties were from Devon, and children were born there, it is fairly safe to assume that they were married in Devon. Occasionally, the parish priests misspelled the names so badly, or wrote in illegible script, so that the record may exist, but cannot be found by normal search methods. A sleuth needs to get into the files and read all of the marriage records.
