Major Greene was Speaker of the Rhode Island General Assembly. He was the father of Judge Philip Greene of Warwick and the grandfather of Col. Christopher Greene, a famous Revolutionary officer. Maj. Job Greene was son of Deputy Governor John Greene of Rhode Island. (NEHGR, v.86, p.328)
