The Register, 123:254 (Oct 1969) "(Thomas Fettiplace's) descent from Adam Fettiplace ... has never been worked out. The parentage and descent of Beatrix has not been ascertained, but she was not the illigitimate daughter of King John I (Joćo) of Portugal, with whom she has sometimes been erroneously identified.
