The Time Of Our Lives
Welcome! Two years ago I decided to work on my family tree. I had no idea what I was getting into. It is a lot of hard work but very fun and interesting.

I am Darla S. (McLane) Kurak. I grew up in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Kenmore High School. I am happy married and the proud mother of 1 teenager/adult. I also have two beautiful dogs. Dutch is a Shepherd /Beagle mix and he is 11 years old. Healthy as a ox! Sarah is a Dalmatian, 4 years old and very spoiled. Just ask my son. Yes, a child can be jealous over a dog. But I have enough love for them all.

I have been working (off and on) for 20 years in the administrative field. My husband Will (short for William and we used to call him Bill but he decided that he needed a change) has worked in Retail Sales for 12 years. He was born in Cleveland but grew up in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Garfield High School. While I obcess over our family tree, he collects and listens to "Hair Band" albums. It keeps him young at heart. Do you remember the 70’s and 80’s?

My son, Michael, is the typical teenager. Girls! Girls! Girls! He also loves music (rock and etc.) and he wears those jeans that my grandfather (79 years old next year) says he could make two suits out of them. Now, this is the same man that gave my son the approval on getting his ear pierced.

What happen is....my son begged me for a year or so to get his ear pierced. So I said, "first ask grandma and grandpa (Sue and Bill McLane)". He did. They approved. Then I said, "ask your great grandma and grandpa (James and Vidolia Lee". He did. They approved. I was out voted. He has his ear pierced. End of story.

I hope you enjoy searching thru my family tree. My goal is to have my family tree book published within a year or two. If you have any question and/or addition, please send me an email at darkurak@yahoo.com.
