Individual:
Notes from Darby Corwin;
Granny (Annie) as we all called her was my favorite grandmother. When I was
very small I can remember going to her house and she always had the best things
to eat. She would take time to entertain me, while we sat on the porch swing.
when I was 7 years old my family moved away from Buchtel, where Granny and Pop
lived, I was a very unhappy little boy for mamy months afterwards. Dad would
pile us into the old car and we would make the trip to Buchtel,( it was an old
car and we had lots of trouble with tires and it over-heating) it was only
about 75 miles but it seemed like it was hundreds. Ganny would always have
something special for us to eat when we got there. This information is from the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Athens Co.,
Ohio.
Annie R. Corwin, birth date 1891, death date 1964, location S14, near Robert M.
Corwin. We have a picture of tombstone.
