Individual:
We all called Robert and Annie, (Granny and Pop). Pop worked at coal mining
during most of his working years. It has been said that Pop would trade you out of anything and one time even
set up a barber shop in his front room at home, of which he had traded with
someone to acquire. Granny and Pop never had much wordly goods but they were certainly loved by
everyone. Granny loved to travel and after Victor retired he took her on
several trips across the USA. Pop never went along as he had sowed all his wild
oats when he was younger and never wanted to leave the old home place. Both Granny and Pop are buried in Nelsonville, Ohio, Graves can be found in
Greenlawn Cem. Nelsonville, Ohio York Tsp. Rd 36 in plot 14. Robert also was a butcher and worked for Sayres Store.

ED #19. John born April 1863, 37 years old, born in Ohio; Lizzie born Dec.
1863, 36 years old, born in KY.; Children are Charles R. born Aug., 1886, age
13; Harry born Feb., 1891, age 9, born in Ohio; Samuel born May 1893, age 7,
born in Ohio; James M. born May 1896, age 4, bon in Ohio; Howard born May 1900,
age less than 1, born Ohio; Robert, John's father age 75 born Dec., 1824 in PA.; Robert Corwin applied for Social Security before 1951, his # was 288-09-3970.
The Social Security death index shows he was born 9 Oct 1889 and died Feb 1969,
listing his address as 45716 Buchtel, Athens Co., Ohio 1908 Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Athens Co., Ohio; Robert M. Corwin, birth
date 1889, death date 1969, location S14, near Annie R. Corwin. We have a
picture of tombstone. 1920 Census; Athens Co., Buchtel- Shows that Robert Miller Corwin occupation was
a grocery clerk at that time.
