Individual:
2 GIVN Anna 2 SURN LeMieux
Like just about everyone else in my family tree, I don't know too muchabout my father's mother. However, unlike his father, I haveactualmemories of my grandmother. My earliest memory is of my grandmotherchanging my diaper. I guess Iremember this because she stuck me with thepin! My Noni was my bestfriend. She would visit fairly frequently, andI remember visiting herat least once. She lived in a walkup in what Ibelieve is Boston. Shemade her lasagna homemade. Shetold me to "mange, mange". Ann walked with a cane, a result, I suppose, of the childhoodpolio thatshe survived. Stories of her youth come to me from anunreliable source(my father), but from what he tells me, she was verynear death for atime. Ultimately she recovered, to the relief andgratitude of herfamily. Apparanlty Ann comes from a large Scicilanfamily, and if not the baby, then she was close to last child. As aresult of this, and her bout withpolio, she was coddled. It is reportedto me that some of her siblingsnames were Frankie, Angie, and Mamie. Shealso had a brother that wasretarded. After suffering a heart attack in1975, Ann died with her family gatheredaround her bed in a BostonHospital. It is reported that CasparWeinberger sent flowers to herfuneral. (My father alleges this isbecause her family had Mafia ties.)1 _TITLE Notes
