Individual:
!The following notes are from papers that Vera left and pin points when various actions happened during her married life.
!The old Union Creamery Dad and his father started in Union, Maine burned to the ground on August 9, 1935. The New England Dairies that replaced it started January 1, 1936.
!Her husband went to Strong, Maine to start a creamery in March 1918 and Vera joined him in June of that year. It was closed 13 Sept. 1928 and the family moved to Waterford, Maine in October 1928. His father got through at the main Creamery in Livermore Falls 15 Nov. 1928 two months after Don was let go in Strong. Don's father then went to Union, Maine and started another Creamery which is the one mentioned above that burned. The family moved to Union in March 1929.
!Don next moved to Bangor, Maine April 2, 1939 to work for the Kenduskeag Valley Creamery because the Union creamery was sold. He worked there for only a short time when he joined the New England Dairies again on Sept. 3 1939 as a can collector. He eventually moved to Vermont with the company.
!James started work in the telephone office Sept 15, 1935 and got done Feb.16 1936.
!Mother died April 4 1939.
!October 25 1933 my sweet boy James shot his left foot through the bottom where the ball of the foot is located. Took him to the Maine General Hospital in Portland, Maine for treatment.
!Sister Joicey Taylor died 15 November 1934.
!Foster operated on July 7 1938 for an abcessed appendix.
!Donnie went to Newport RI May 4 1938 and came home on his first furlough August 1 thru August 11, 1938. Hated to see him go back it nearly broke my heart. He and I went to Livermore Falls and Strong August 9 and took Gram back to Livermore.
!Went to see Donnie May 30 1940 and Dr.Blodgett said he had TB.
