The compiler grew up as a child across the road from her and remembers her as kind lady and a hard worker. She worker in her later yearssorting dried beans in a plant in Unity, ME. She kept her house inimmaculate condition and would wash her floors on her hands and kneesto make sure it was spotless. Her daughter, Loretta said sheremembers her saying "Mops are for lazy people". She was a determinedlady and did whatever she set out to do. Loretta remembers her motherplaying the organ and singing religious songs. Rebecca'a mother diedwhen she was about 5, and it was then she went to live with her AuntBecky (Rebecca Jane Morrison McBreairty) who ran a boarding house inSt. Francis. In her obituary, Orlando (FL) Sentinel, Sep 23, 1960,she had a sister, Mrs. Leah (should be Lydia) St, Pierre, survivingher in Saint John, ME.
Her death certificate shows her middle name was Annie. The compiler has a copy of this.

She is buried in the Pond Cemetery beside her husband and her oldest,
son, Cecil.
