John owned and operated a mill in Unity Village that consisted of
woodworking, machine, blacksmith and a long lumber mill. An inventorwith three (3) registered U. S. patents, #615334, #925408 and #1,221,644. He was noted for his honesty and ingenuity. He and his familywere members of the Church of Christ (undenominational) in Unity, ME.An adult bible class teacher, he was very interested in prophecy. Hetook his family across the country to San Jose, California in aCadilac touring car. They remained there for a few years and returnedto Unity, ME. This author remember hearing that John's wife Ida wouldget out of the car and walk when driving through parts of the RockyMountains.He is buried next to his wife.
