one child Arabella Greer went and lived with her Grandparents, J.J. and Ann Rushing, the other daughter, Louisa J. Greer went and lived with her mother B.D. Caroline and her step father Isaac W. Nichols who were married 12/26/1867 in Benton Co, TN

Joseph A. Greer is listed in the Benton Co,TN Families Book as Joseph H. Greer died April 15,1863 while serving in the Civil War in Co A 55th Tenn Reg.(South) on page 39.

i. Arabella[7] Greer. Born, circa 1855. Died, 1891. She married James Britton.
In the 1870 census Arabella Greer is in the household of her grandfather J. J. Rushing.
She was murdered by her husband, James Britton
ii. Louisa Greer. Born, circa 1858. She married William McGill, 28 May 1878
