NEW CONCORD - Mildred G. Smith, 81, formerly of 1550 Lower Bloomfield Road, New Concord, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday July 20, 1996, at Beckett House, New Concord, after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 12, 1915, in Cambridge. She was a member of Bloomfield Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Betty Dailey of Cincinnati; two sons, Charles W. "Bill" Smith and Roy A. Smith, both of New Concord; one sister, Ruth Ann Frame of Cambridge; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles A. and Bertha Dugan McFee; her husband Jerre M. Smith, who died Feb. 29, 1996; and one brother, Frank A. McFee.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 W. Main St., New Concord.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 1996, at the funeral home, the Rev. Martin W Radcliff officiating, with burial in Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerre M. Smith, 1550 Lower Bloomfield Road, New Concord, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 2.
Jerre Smith and Mildred McFee were married on Sept. 2, 1936 at Wheeling W.Va., at the parsonage of the Rev. Ben F. Dohley of Chaplin Street United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Smith is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles McFee, who had lived in the New Concord and Cambridge areas. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. William Smith of New Concord.
The Smiths have spent their entire married lives on the farm that has been in the Smith family since 1827. Mr. Smith is a retired farmer and carpenter. Both are members of the Bloomfield Presbyterian Church.
The couple are the parents of three children, Mrs David (Betty) Dailey of Cincinnati; and Charles William (Bill) and Roy Allen Smith, both who reside near Bloomfield. They have seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The Smiths were given a surprise cake and ice cream party by family members.
