Individual:
For a time, at least, he is said to have lived on Totier, abranch of the Hardware River, near various Hamner in-laws,before moving to Amherst. He evidently was the Stephen TurnerJr. on the Amherst 1783 tax list but appears in the 1790 censusof Warren Col, N.C. It was there he died in 1799. His Will datedOctober 14, 1799 mentions his land in Granville County.
