Toland Co., Connecticut He moved to N. Adams, Massachusetts in 176_ and lived there the
rest of his life.
John Eaton, (1724-88), served as a private in the Massachusetts militia
at Fort Clinton, 1778. He was born in Dedham, Massachusetts

To all People to whom these Presents Sull come greeting Know ye that we Jonathan Eaton Comfort Eaton & Mason Eaton all of Killingly in the County of Windham and Colony of Connecticut in New Englund and John Eaton of Stafford and Edward Goodeale and Thomas Grow borth of Pomfrett in sd County of Windham and Lydea and Susanna their wifes and Joseph Leavens Junr and Allis his wifes of sd Sillingly and Aeth Johnson & Hannah his wife of said Stafford and John Bucklin and Jerusha his fie Coventry in the County of Providence in the Colony of Rhode Island for and Inconsideration of the Some of twenty pounds in good Bills of Credit to us In hand well and truly paid by Joseph Leavens of Killingly aforesd Esess to our full content and Satisfaction have given granted and Sold and Do by these Presents give grant Bargain and Sell to Joseph Leavens aforesd and and to his heirs and assigns for ever all our Right title Jutrust or Demand that we now have of and to a Certain thirty acre Right of Land in the Common or undevidied Land in sd Killingly which Right Did Belong to our Honrd father Jonathan Eaton Late of sd Killingly Deceast as it bounds on the Broprieter Book in Killingly and to be Laid out and that the sd Joseph Leavens his heirs and assigns may Lay out the sd right to him sell and have hold occupy Possess and Enjoy the same free and Clear forever and we said Edward Goodale and Lysia his wifes Thomas Grow Susanna his wife Joseph Leavens Junr Allis his wife Seth Johnson hannah his wife John Bucklin and Jerusha his wife and Jonathan Eaton John Eaton Comfort Eaton Mason Eaton Do for our Selves our heirs Promis to efend the sd Joseph Leavens Esqr his heirs and assigns from all Clames or Demands by from or under us in sitness where of we have here unto Set our hands and Seals this tenth Day of May A:D: 1751
