Notes
Individual:
He inherited the homestead at Dedham.

The date of his death is often confused with that of his oldest son John Eaton3 who died at age 23 on October 28, 1694. Afterwards, this John Eaton continues to appear in tax rolls and deeds with his son William Eaton. The last dated document occurs in March 27, 1710 when he sells 8 acres to John Gill. In the Dedham records there is an ______ Eaton December the 24th, 1715. All other Eatons are accounted for at this date and a careful examination of the original record reveals it was a 4 letter first name. The obvious conclusion being this must be John Eaton dying in his 80th year.
