My research has been primarily in Howard County MO associated with EDMONDS, JORDAN (JOURDAN), and CLARK families. James Jordan and family came from some unknown area of Virginia to Howard County by 1830.

EDMONDS descendants disbursed to Vernon, Saline and Cooper Counties in Missouri.
San Bernardino & San Benito Counties in CA and to Strawberry, Arizona.

I am seeking clues to the Virginia local were the JORDAN's and EDMONDS originated.
