Notes
Individual:
1. Edna was so named because his grandmother, Edna Heath Rosebrough, of a very stiff English heredity, was so domineering of her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ball Rosebrough, that Edna made Mary promise the first born child would be named after her - EDNA! Needless to say, Edna never used his first given name, he preferred "EO" and at times accepted "Oscar"

2. EO and Roxie eloped because Roxie's parents were planning to send her off to "Normal" school (a term used to describe formal schooling). They removed to Richmond, Contra Costa County, California in 1943 where he worked in bomber plant in Turlock, Stanislaus County, California, during World War, II. They moved to Fresno, Fresno County, California in 1946.

3. EO was on the local school board, taught singing, a very devout Christian and owned a farm in Brockwell Izard County, Arkansas from 1919 to 1926. Edna was operating his father's cotton gin at the time when in 1908 he saved the life of his brother, Hascal, when Hascal was caught in the gin machinery.

4. Burial services for EO were at the Free Will Baptist Church, Turlock, Stanislaus County, California, with Rev. Doice McAlister officiating. Vocalist was B. W. Hutchinson, pianist was Donna Walker. Bearers were Rusty Jenkins, Amos Smith, Loyd Brown, Earnest Bishop, Bill Grimes and John Brown.
