"This story I am going to tell was passed down from my grandmother. She said, daddy told me that my great, great grandfather married a lady, had some kids, and during the war "left" them and went up north and had another family and none of his kin ever heard from him again. 2 people have told me that his man could be Jacob you mentioned in your message. These people said that Jacob and Gemina (Jemina) are listed in 1860 census with a son James. 1870 no Jacob, but Jemina and James are living with other family. I sure wish I could solve this mystery, and I know I can, Lord willing. Thanks and if you have any thoughts or comments, please email me back." Robert Cruit
