The latter part of his life was spent in Weston-Super-Mare where, so far as his grandson coul d recall, he was a cashier at the National and Provincial Bank.
He and his wife attended meetings of the Plymouth Brethren there and were probably members o f that sect.
He was estranged from his family probably on account of his marriage of which they disapprov ed.
His grandson has been unable to obtain any information on this from the family with whom he h as been in contact with.
It is significant that there is no record in the family tree of his wife's maiden name or th e date of marriage as with other members of the family.
